Herbal Medicine is as old as medicine itself! Humans evolved with plants, so it is no wonder that certain plants perform medicinal actions within the body. Herbal medicine is both an ancient healing art and a scientifically researched healing modality. Although the individual plant chemicals have been scientifically proven to have specific actions on body systems, it is the thousands of plant chemicals working together that really lead to the magic of herbal medicine! A quarter of all the pharmaceuticals currently prescribed in the modern medicine world were originally derived from plants! During each consultation the patient assessed and matched the herbs that will best help them on their path to healing. Herbs strengthen the body's ability to heal itself! Megan also works with herbs, nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle to bring the body back into a state of balance. Herbal medicine treats the individual and not the condition, but individuals diagnosed with the following conditions can be assisted with herbal medicine. Some can be healed with herbs alone, others may require additional medical care
