Looking For Relief from Anxiety? You feel stressed. You constantly fear what might go wrong. It’s difficult to function in your daily activities. You may be depressed. You can’t see a way out of your anxiety. Life seems flat. It lacks joy. Counselling can provide lasting relief from chronic anxiety and depression. I use the profound modality of Therapy called Reichian therapy. Reichian therapy is one of the first types of therapy that incorporated the role the body plays in psychological and emotional problems, as well as its role in healing. The field of neuroscience now shows us how pain and suffering are rooted in our entire bodies, not just in our mind and feelings. I offer Skype therapy sessions if you have to be away, or live outside of Vancouver. Skype sessions are convenient and just as effective as in-person sessions. They can help you save time travelling to come to see me.

Sana Counselling is a resource for individuals and families with or affected by epilepsy or generalized anxiety. I work collaboratively with clients to find balance and security in your everyday life.If you need support in the areas of; epilepsy, anxiety, self esteem, stress, boundary work or relational difficulties, please feel free to call me. I also work in the areas of communication skills, life transitions, relaxation and stress management. I would love to speak further with you if you are ready to begin your process.I know that all of our experiences differ. I am here to really support you in the experiences that you choose to focus on in session and the subsequent growth that occurs in the process. I create a comfortable and accessible space for all clients to do their best work. You are the expert and our time together is your time to really dig deep. My main goal is helping clients come to terms with, or change their situations for the better, as well as help others to understand their development to remove stigma..

They tell me that they feel listened to and heard.We all grapple with issues from time to time. Sometimes we can talk it out with a trusted partner, friend or family member.  But sometimes, we need someone else who will listen without an agenda, without judging, who will really “get us” and help us to hear our own voice to figure out what to do.  A helper who will keep our confidence. I would like to be that helper for you. (Sliding scale for those in need)

Counselling approach: Naomi works from a heart-centered approach in which she guides, directs, and challenges you in a gentle and compassionate manner toward the core of your issues. She believes that you are the expert on your own life. Her aim is to help you connect with your higher wisdom in order to bring about healing and empowerment. Naomi uses a variety of effective, evidence-based therapies:Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT); Dynamic Attachment Re-Patterning (DARE); Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR); Gestalt & Body-Centered; Sensorimotor Psychotherapy; Motivational Interviewing (MI); Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)Clinical supervision & presentations.
