Psychotherapy

I am a clinical social worker providing individual psychotherapy sessions for adults 18+. I have a strong desire to support clients through life challenges and I enjoy witnessing the changes they can achieve through a positive counselling experience. I use a client-centered approach to guiding clients in addressing and releasing unwanted emotional or behavioural after-effects of life events such as grief/loss, injuries, illness, relationship concerns and other painful life experiences. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and to support you on a path to self-discovery and self healing.

Art Therapy

Alison B. Thomas - My background consists of degrees in Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, Counselling Psychology and Art Therapy. I also have certificate courses in the areas of Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Sensory Integration and Trauma. I specialize in the integrated treatment approach of Counselling, Art and Occupational therapy for children and teens. For adults I use a slightly more eclectic approach that draws from Adlerian, Narrative and Cognitive Behavioural theories depending on the issue at hand. I also am LGBTQ friendly and informed. Services are provided primarily onsite and in person but internet and phone based consultations are also available by request.

I conduct meditation sessions. Energy cleansing for homes and vehicles. I also offer spiritual counselling.
