Practitioner Bio

I was first afflicted with asthma as a young child which followed me into my University years. At that time I made friends with some students in my science classes who shared their herbal medicine secrets with me. They also taught me Kung Fu techniques to strengthen my lungs and overall vitality. I was healed from asthma. I continued my training as a Medical Scientist in Clinical Pathology while keeping in the back of my mind the secrets to health that were taught to me by 20 year old kids who had no medical training!!. Experiences and conversations between colleagues at various hospitals where I worked eventually led me into the wonderful world of Naturopathic medicine and the rest is history. I currently straddle on both sides of the medical system because I find it fascinating as well I work on both sides of the border. I enjoy thinking eclectically because I can see, describe and understand your "house by looking through many windows" instead of just a key hole. Belonging to six medical and paramedical professional groups has made this possible. I enjoy pets, cycling, hiking, swimming, diving, Tae Kwon Do, art and astronomy.
