Practitioner Bio

Hi, my name is Michelle Humen, I am the creator of Lily Peace Massage & Day Spa. I began my career in Vancouver, BC first as a Full-force, Women’s Self-Defense Instructor for Model Mugging of Vancouver, BC, secondly as a BCRPA Registered Personal Fitness Trainer which lends knowledge of postural assessment, anatomy & physiology to massage. I have also earned a Diploma in Counselling Skills with Vancouver Community College, Thai Yoga Massage & Hot & Cold Stone Massage.

15 years ago, my dream of moving to the beautiful Sunshine Coast became a reality and it is here that I evolved from being a Personal Trainer to becoming a Massage & Spa Technician & Usui & Karuna Reiki Master Practitioner. (My personal journey has been the study of and healing through Somatic Counselling, Breathwork, Reiki and Massage I have spent the past 30 years healing from severe childhood trauma , I have found these modalities to be very helpful and I hope one day I can assist you on your personal healing journey – it takes a community to raise a child and it seems it takes a community to help people heal from trauma!)
